Writers, if you have something to write about but aren't sure how to express it, I can help.
If you're seeking a general improvement in your writing skills, I can help with that, too.
A graduate of Yale, I spent many years as a stockbroker and financial planner, during which time I began writing weekly newspaper columns. Eventually, "Richards on Money Matters" was carried by a number of newspapers across the country. Most of the columns are archived in this website. Click the "Column" button above.
The columns hit home. With crystal clarity, they convey a maximum of meaning with a minimum of words. After conducting a survey of its readers, the Waterbury Republican American, for example, elevated them to the front page of its Sunday Business Section.
I'm also the author of "Understanding Exchange-Traded Funds," published by McGraw-Hill. For more information, click the button for "Book," above.
At a local state college, I taught a continuing education course in non-fiction writing. One of the students, a journalist, submitted several of his published articles for my review. I increased the clarity of his writing significantly, which he warmly appreciated.
